Who we are

Abroed India is a study abroad guidance service based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You can reach us at abroed.india@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +91 99796 21297.

What we collect

Only what you type into the PathFinder form, and a count of how far people get through it. That count is not attached to you and is explained in full further down.

Your contact details, which you give us at the end of the form:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address

Your answers about your study plans:

• Highest qualification, and the year you finished or expect to finish
• Your marks, and the scale they are on (percentage, CGPA or GPA)
• Active backlogs
• Work experience
• English test taken and your score, if you have one
• Your yearly budget and how it is funded
• Field of interest and the countries you are considering

The result we calculate from those answers: your readiness score, your band, the verdict for each country, and the points we listed as holding you back. We keep this alongside your answers so that when we talk to you, we are looking at the same result you saw.

What we do not collect

• No cookies. This site does not set any.
• No advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no advertising or social network script anywhere on this site. Nothing you do here is used to target ads at you, here or elsewhere. We do use one privacy-first analytics tool, described in the next section, and we would rather name it than claim we measure nothing.
• No account, no password. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No payment details. PathFinder is free and never asks for money.
• No passport, Aadhaar, or identity document numbers. We never ask for these. If someone claiming to be us does, it is not us.

Counting visits

We use Umami to count visits, so we can tell which pages are worth writing more of. It records the page you landed on, the site that sent you, and your browser, device type and country. That is the whole list.

It sets no cookie and stores no IP address. Your country is worked out from your IP at the moment of the request and the IP itself is then discarded, never written down. There is no identifier kept on your device, so we cannot follow you from one visit to the next, and we cannot follow you to any other website. Nobody sells or shares this data, and it is never joined to the form answers below. Come back tomorrow and you are a stranger to us again.

Counting how far people get

We count how many questions people answer before they stop. That is the one thing this site measures, and it is measured like this: when you answer a question, your browser sends us a single number, how many of the ten you have now answered, and nothing else.

Not your answers. Not your name. Not your IP address. No cookie, no hidden identifier, nothing stored on your device. What lands in our sheet is a date and a number. There is no way to join it back to you, and no way to tell that two numbers came from the same person. If you reload the page we count you from the start again, because we genuinely cannot tell it is still you. That makes our totals run high, and we would rather have a number that is wrong in a harmless direction than fix it by putting a marker on you.

We do this for one reason: to find the question that loses people, and rewrite it.

Your IP address

When you submit the form, our server briefly sees your IP address. We use it for one thing: to stop the same connection submitting the form more than five times in an hour, which is what keeps bots from flooding us. It is held in the server's working memory for at most an hour and then discarded. It is never written to our records and never stored next to your name.

Where your details go

Your submission is sent to a private Google Sheet that only Abroed India can open. That is our entire lead list. There is no CRM, no mailing list tool, and no database behind this.

Two companies handle your data purely as infrastructure on our behalf: Netlify, which hosts this site and runs the code that scores your profile, and Google, which stores the Sheet. Neither uses your information for their own ends.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with universities, agents, lenders or any other third party. If that ever changes, we will ask you first, and we will not treat silence as a yes.

What we use it for

To contact you about your study abroad plans by email, phone or WhatsApp. That is the thing you ticked the box to agree to, and it is the only thing we use your details for. We do not send marketing blasts or newsletters.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until we have had no contact with you for two years, whichever comes first. At the two year mark we remove the row. We do not keep old enquiries indefinitely on the theory that they might be useful one day.

Getting your data removed

Email abroed.india@gmail.com from the address you gave us, or message the WhatsApp number above, and say you want your details removed. We will delete the row and confirm to you once it is done, within 30 days and usually far sooner. You do not need to give a reason.

You can also ask us to send you a copy of what we hold, or to correct anything that is wrong.

If you are under 18

PathFinder accepts Class 12 students, so some people using it are minors. If you are under 18, please go through the form with a parent or guardian before entering your phone number or email, and make sure they are happy for us to contact you. If a parent or guardian wants their child's details removed, email us and we will delete them, no questions asked.

Accuracy of the result

PathFinder gives you an estimate built from published university and government requirements. It is guidance to help you plan, not an admission decision, a visa decision or a guaranteed cost. Universities and immigration authorities change their rules, and only they can tell you the final answer for your case.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The date is there so you can tell at a glance whether anything has moved since you last read it.
